Jill

Having volunteered for many years as both County Chair and Welfare Officer for The British Horse Society in Cleveland, I now look forward to working with the very dedicated and skilled Here4Horses team.

My interest in welfare has grown over time and I have gained invaluable experience working in equine rehabilitation and nursing seriously ill horses and ponies back to health.

I was a relatively late starter to horses and riding by most people’s standards, making it to the ripe old age of fifteen before having proper riding lessons.

From then on, there was no stopping me and my original career goal, to be a mounted Police Officer, quickly changed, as I decided I wanted to work with horses full-time.

Since then, I have continued to develop my skills and expertise and have successfully qualified as a riding coach and hold BHS Level 3 in Complete Horsemanship.

I have worked as a freelance teacher for more than ten years and derive huge pleasure from seeing my clients forge partnerships with their horses.

I also enjoy competing and have ridden on many teams at Riding Club Championship level, in all disciplines and have chaired Darlington Riding Club Committee for several terms of office.

We at Here4Horses are absolutely committed to bringing about change for the better, for horses and ponies everywhere, I look forward to the future.
